I hope the Devs add a cockpit for the Bf-110. That would be super sweet!!

Ive flown the 110 and I wasnt impressed at all. In sim mode its OK if you stick to a particular role (eg bomber attacker) but in every other mode its a dead duck. It handles worse than an IL, and has lesser armaments than it to.

Perhaps the model they have in the game yes... but later on, the 'G' model had a significant upgrade in firepower and payload. Plus the IL-2 is just an ugly plane the Bf 110 simply looks prettier.

No doubt there, the IL is an ugly aircraft. However as I said in game the 110 is not as good as the IL.

Well wasn't the Me-110 originally made for a high altitude heavy fighter? But wasn't any good so they converted it to a Ground attack plane?
I fly the 110 from time to time, but only for fun. My Yak-3 can usually tear into it fairly easy. |

Comparing them would be like comparing the late the F-4 Phantom (which was a large and heavy fighter) with the A-10 Warthog (the greatest tank-killer of all time, though only partially proven- unlike the IL-2) |

The roles may be different but its how the are utilised in the game, especially online. While the IL is a ground attacker, it can be used as a heavy fighter as many do. Part of the problem is in the fact that there are few "heavy fighters" in the game, making the 110 a bit out of place at times.
Whatever the roles they have, how people actually play online is another matter. Rarely will a 110 survive long in an online match, where people use 109's/Spits/IL's to devastating effect. If the 110 had the G model varient in the game it would make a huge difference in its effectiveness and usage. |

The Bf-110 is pretty easy meat in a Dogfight, and I have little problem dispatching them. It has the same problem every multiseat fighter has: too heavy to mix it up. The only exceptions are the Mosquito and some of the later Ju-88's, G models. I take one back: Just the Mosquito. LJB |
