make sure you get them to attack "primary" targets and not "selected" target.

to attack primary i think its - down on d-pad (select squadron) then right on d-pad (attack primary targets).

if you have them attacking selected target then they will attack, but once you start to attack your own target then the target for them will switch to yours.

You will pass this mission soon enough, just takes time and patience keep at it.

This mission seems to want you to be in three places at once in order to win. I had to crank it down to arcarde in order to beat it. Tried about 30 times on realistic, mostly failing because "you took too long."

Same for me. I tried and tried and tried on realistic, as I'd done everything up to this point on realistic, but I just couldn't do it. The planes take so much more of a beating and I think you need to one hit kill them all.

What makes it extra annoying to keep re-starting is the really long flight at the start to the first target.

As soon as the mission starts, order your entire flight to get on with the mission (down on the d-pad, then right). They will all target the only objective on the radar. You can then head slightly to the left and another target will appear. Then go from there...

Also, when you bring up the map, you can choose which of your flight you want to control on the right of the map screen. This effectively lets you "teleport" around the map (assuming your flight aren't in formation). I'm not sure what happens to your plane when you do this though - I think the AI resumes control.

It says in the encyclopedia that if you open the map and select another plane that once you send that plane to a specific target it will continue the attack and then you should be able to switch to another plane etc. It doesnt seem to work for me for some reason. They always seem to break the attack and follow whatever plane I jump in next.

I will try again later. Frustrating as hell though

Just in the single missions. Open the map and use the arrow keys up and down to select a different airplane. It's just for planes in your flight though (green on the minimap).

Default Finally Got it

Finally finished this mission but I had to do it in arcade. I will keep trying in Realistic.

Tips: Others said it before but when the mission starts do not use any commands to your wingmen except DPAD: down + right

Attack first group yourself. Then once you take those 2 planes out head your plane towards another target group then pull up your map and switch to a plane that is closest to the other targets. Your wingman will already be next to that target, take control and kill them yourself. Keep repeating this.

The key is the down + right and switching planes.

Also when your in the map use the up down arrows to select a different pilot but be sure to look at the left of your map, it shows a red plane icon for that pilots aircraft. I didn't see this the first 10 times I tried for some reason.
