It's the machines and engineering of the time period for me. Incredible works of art! The more detailed the replications of the aircraft's and their systems the more I can get into it.
Engines, armaments, avionics, all of it!! Wish we could open up the engine cowlings and such, that would be cool...  BTW, I'm horrible at combat.... (and yes, I very much like DCS also).
