I only ever fly online and usually on ATAG...so the Launcher.exe CTD is all I care about. I just want to DF.
I have gone from 2-3hrs without CTD to 10minutes just about every time.
I have spent my whole Sunday trying this and that.
ie.
Deleted Cache folder - it re-built on start
Re-installed ATI graphic Drivers & CCC
Re-installed old Driver
Disabled Steam 'in-game' overlay
Disabled Steam 'synch to Cloud'
Monitored Graphics card temp & activity
Disabled 'sound=0' in conf
Disabled TrackIR
Disabled CH Manager
Substituted files here & there...
Increased my Pagefile

Please also note: I have reinstalled this on a fresh Win7 x64 OS

Whatever it is ...when in MP, it happens in 10-15mins when only in the air...on ground is okay...was sitting for over 1hr on ground engine running.
Though it does NOT happen in Single Player (40mins).... if it is a memory leak, woulnt it occur in Single Player as well?

When I returned to last patch...all was good.

For the little time I do get to fly.....sweet.
PLEASE MAKE THE CTD's YR FIRST PIORITY..

Will send Crashlog...

Which airplane? The Blenheim for example got now a 2stage prop pitch, just fine or coarse pitch possible (-> either 100% or 0%)
Its now completely right!

Pls guys, make detailled bug descriptions! These oneliners without any further explanation helps no one! It just pushes the confusion furthermore!

Fps were not the massive worry i encounter except over London in qmb... with this patch i got more CTD till i remember to switch off the Desktop window manager. I get an ugly desktop but for the first time i could have an 1hrs30 on ATAG w/o CTD.
Spec as follow :

Doing this in the conf.ini helps a lot in my case;
DepthBits =64
from the original 8 to 64
If you have problems landing with the Spitfire MK Ia and the MK IIa this is due to the Beta patch. The dev. team did fiddle with the speed control settings. Also due to this the plane cannot slow down once on the ground.

The original is 24, maybe you made a mistake tweaking the file, the original values looks like this :

DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8

The maximum Depth is 32 but 8 bits are left for the Stencil buffer so it is 24.

So, is this tweak useless?

Yep, I tried in past set the Depth buffer to 32, killing the Stencil buffer to 0, but I saw no difference in performance or graphics so my guess is that change those values have no effect because they are there as placeholders.
