Four confUser files does not sound right! I'm only guessing so hopefully someone else here with more knowledge will chime in.

In the confUser file is a section: [Hotkey pilot]

Looks like some are default and some I've set (joystick commands).

Edit one of the confUser files and check what the [Hotkey Pilot] section looks like. Rename the others, suffix a number or whatever (confUserold1, ...), so you only have one confUser file.

All I can suggest at the moment, other than a re-install!
