Including FM changes and other "improvements" the patch was only about 200mb or so. Is this really all it takes to rewrite an entire graphics engine?
Sceptical minds might wonder if the total-rewrite story was true or not.
It would be interesting to use Kegetys extraction tool to compare the changes.

Seriously, who cares?

Well, me for one. What goes on under the hood interests me just as much as what happens when you hit the Fly button.

I'd thought 200Mb of compiled code would be quite alot when it excludes textures, sounds and 3D models. If your interested in what's happening under the hood, it'd be interesting to see if it's smaller or larger than the code it replaced.

At least it wasn't a 5Gig reinstall like DCS p-51 mustang!
