I've flown cliffs on 64 bit since release. Had CTDs before, still have them now.

Cleared cache, Log=1, installed patch. No change for me in any way, still same fps, still same micro stutters that have been there from begining. Will test more then send log file.

On a different board the discussion seemed to indicate that pre patch the CDTs concerned only 32bit OS (I rarely experienced CDTs on my 64bit OS).

I would like to know if those who now experience CDTs on their 64 bit OS did this also before the patch.

Higher FPS for me, the stuttering is still there, but much better now.

Had missing outside textures on my 109 (plane all white) some times. No crash so far (the game that is, me crashing planes OTOH.... ). Missing texture inside the cockpit on the left side in the 109 too, this cable near the throttle.

AA seems to work for me, cockpit struts look much better.

All in all not bad for me.

For me before the update very very few crashes. Now crashing every 10 minutes also. Files sent.

Additionally :
Colors look washed out.
Blurry dial's and buildings
Bad performance @ low levels

Running : Dual core 2.4, 3 gig Ram, GTX 260, 500 g HD, WIN 7 64 Pro

CTD's are a strange occurrence for many here. I do not think that it is 64b OS related though. I think the answer lies with shared dll's or perhaps another program...I have never had a CTD in 64b on-line or off...if me I would try a format, and only load Clod and no other games, just as a test.

My Specs

Intel Core2Quad 2.5Ghz
Gigabyte EP45 DS4
4GB Ram
Asus GTX 560Ti

My In Game Settings

Res -1920x1080
Model Detail - High
Buildings Detail - Medium
Land Detail - Medium
Forest - Medium
Visual Effects - Medium
Texture Quality - High
Damage Decals - High
Buildings Amount - Medium
Land Shading - Medium
Grass - On
Shadows - On
Roads - On

  • FPS appears to be the same, if not slightly worse
  • Stutters are more frequent and for longer durations
  • Trees Shimer heavily
  • All Sounds are tinny and hollow like recorded inside a pipe
  • All sounds seem unbalanced and not normalized, can bearly hear some sounds as others over power them
  • Merlin engines sound all the same still, not like stated in changelog
  • Merlin engines sound still breaking up in low rpm
  • Textures on the hurricane's control cable around the yoke are grass textures
  • Textures take much longer to res in, most within cockpit remain out of focus
  • Have had 4 crashes in the hour of play test both online and offline
  • Still see my desktop flashing on game launch and when ever i move to a menu etc

Patch was only 276mb for a whole graphics engine re-write, some kind of mistake when packing up the patch?

Unhappy Crashing when shooting

Each time I start a combat test mission CloD freezes (beyond rescue) a few seconds after I start shooting at Wellington bombers from my Bf-109 E4 and E3.

When peacefully flying over London in a Spit, no combat/shooting, just sightseeing, the game responds very well, very smooth, no stutters, fps seem improved, and no crash like in above combat scenarios, when the shooting starts.

So, for now I cannot pull the trigger without CloD freezing.

Crash dump files mailed to Ilya.

Contents of my log.txt:
quote
------------ BEGIN log session -------------
Loading mission ...
Load landscape...
Load bridges
LongBridge: wrong width. (3)
Load static objects...
Server: ustahl kämpft für die Luftstreitkräfte von Blau.
Mission loaded. time = 7,454
Battle starting...

That 4th line "LongBridge: wrong width. (3)" sounds suspicious

Cheers
Uffe

Tried the G.50 out for a while, new boost is working which is nice. Less nice is the fact that the "practical ceiling" is still between 3000-3500 meters, after that you're flying a brick. Performance should improve at that altitude, not decrease....*sigh* nice going there team. If you haven't fixed something don't say you have.
