I am annoyed I could not complete mission 8 even though I have finished campaign. No spoilers but that is a long tough one! So I loaded the missions into single missions folder so I can play each one any times I want, and now I have finally done it!

What devil created that one

Hi Planespotter
Having had the pleasure and privilege of beta testing this and can honestly say mission 8 left me with sweaty palms and a sore neck all the times i played through it.

Bolox did a great job on the parameters and its the closest i have been to actually being scared i was going to get bounced before i could land and get mission success. When i say 'land' i don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't played it through to the end. Best advice is to know where all your cockpit controls are if you don't have them all mapped.

It did get toned down a bit on final release. An earlier version had an inland route which was absolute murder to get through.
I end up flying as fast and low as possible and used the map to dodge the fighters. Not very 1940s and a bit of a cheat, but hey ho, after about 10 times being shot out of the sky needs must.

Good to pass the word that imho the redux is now the default GB campaign.

Thanks again to Heinkill, Bolox and Gabuzomeu

I have not flown any of the campaign yet, but did launch it and the splash screen did come up showing it was the redux campaign.
Thanks...yes this is quite well buried

Looking forward to playing offline, with what appears to be something worthwhile at-last

Cheers, MP

It seems to me that some of these missions, having been crafted around a creative Briefing and "mini-story", would be a natural for ClOD community movie-makers to put together interesting movies. 3/4 of the screenplay has been laid out for them, the Recording is the "performance" by the "actors". The movie-makers could focus on the cinematography and editing, plus narration and/or dialogue.

Again, the work on the creative core idea(s)/plot(s) has been done by the ReDux creators.

imho

Mission 8 is great (rhymes) , and so are a lot of the other ones.

Personal favourite, hunting at night for low level bombers. I use icons to see the enemy, but it is still very atmospheric.

Can't wait to try this after the Christmas break... As Doolitleraider said, there might be some good movies in these missions!
