Quick question - just upgraded my PC to be more CloD friendly & it required a fresh download of the entire sim from Steam.I know it includes latest patch but what about this hotfix...do I need to download & install it as well?

No steam will have downloaded the latest version when it installed your game. You can easily check this by launching CLOD and looking at the bottom right in the menu , should say v. 1.01.14588 when the hotfix is installed..

Bit out of the loop but didn't Luthier say they have employed someone as direct link to the community whose only task is to keep us up to date and provide a direct link to all departments of the development team?

I really would like to know when the proppitch issue is solved on the 109. This is the worst FM issue right now dwarfing all other FM issues and it definitely needs a quick solution. As I am currently into flying the 109, the ONLY decent fighter on blue side (sorry, but the G50 is no substitute), I don't touch this system as it is just killing all fun flying this plane even offline. In such a situation I want to know when I could count on a remedy.

No need to. It's included in June 24, 2011 - v1.02.14821 Release Patch.
U can't choose patchlevel with steam. You'll by auto get the latest one.

When u load the game check for version number at lower right side. Current is 1.02.14821.
