Because in over-g (you played it?) each plane has its countries weapons, and where the F14 can carry four 2000kg bombs the SU33 can carry a hell of alot more!! the SU33 is a superb bombing platform, it carries a huge amount of bombs. The SU27 on the other hand - garbage. It seems better for air to air than air to ground and cant carry half as much as the SU33.

This is all in over-g btw.

The superior planes for bombing ground targets i found were -

SU33
F15E (think it was the E, theirs about 4 models in over-g)

i still prefer the Saabs because of there sheer agility, sure they cant carry a big payload but by god they can fly.

For such a little plane you'd be amazed at what they can carry in over-g

Hmm, interesting? No I've not played Over-G, but maybe I should start too. Both of the Su-27/33 should be superb air-to-air jets, but the Su-33 shouldn't be very air-to-ground friendly. I mean, not that it's not capable of carrying bombs, but it's should be modeled to be more air-to-air like the Su-27. If they want a good ex-Soviet air-to-ground jet, they should have gotten a Su-25 or something. Most Su's are air-to-air jets. Like the MiGs. But most MiGs now, besides the 29/35, are high altitude interceptors ie MiG-25/31 etc.

Russia has kinda taken the stance of heavy bombing and 'dogfighting' rather ground attack like the American A-10 or something along those lines. Though I do think, that there are still a couple of Su-25s still being used by the Russians?

The SU33 in over-g is a good all rounder, though when it comes to air to air i prefer to use the F15 or the F14 with phoenix and amraam missiles. Though the F22 it the best air to air but takes alot of fun out of flying due to the fact its practically invincible.

The russian planes in over g are -

mig 29g
mig 29s
mig 29a (luftwaffe colours)

su 27
su 27 (russian knights colours)

su 33

It's the best plane after the 22. It can take a ton of missiles, and is one of the few with mid range IR missiles and thanks to being able to take 4 1500kg bombs its one of the few "1 run" jets, meaning it can destroy a symbol tower in 1 pass. It really is pretty much the best at everything after the 22

And the cannon on it is a beast!

edit as over g has hi jacked this thread, name these planes (well they dont have a name but what are they?)
