Wow someone agrees with me... thank you!! I thought I was going crazy.

I messed with 2 sound systems and 2 different xboxes yesterday for about 3 hours. Someone in the audio dept made mistake deciding what was important and what could slide by....hell you can here fires burning on the ground at 200 meters.....lol... that could of been sacrificed for this one little sound effect letting you know when you are stalling.

OK. I've been toying around with this and it seems that the sound is there, but only in EXTERNAL view. I can hear it in both arcade and realistic difficulty. Obviously I can't hear it in simulation because there is no external view. It's quieter than in Il-2 1946, but it's there.

Also, the planes don't seem to shake or buffet at all before stalling.

You know what I hadn't thought of trying external view...just tried arcade mode in external view...and there is an audio effect for a tight turn which would produce a stall in sim or realistic... too bad it isn't audible from within the cockpit.

That's why I keep seeing posts that there is a sound effect ... it just doesn't work from within the cockpit!

Hmm... I've been listening very carefully and I can't hear it in cockpit view. I think we need Anton to talk to the dev team about this.

The picture in my sig is of a Spitfire "tipping" a V-1 flying bomb.

Maybe the problem is that since this was a console release they play tested with a bunch of flight sim noobs? Who are used to blazing angels?

That is a possiblity. You know what the funny thing is though.. they actually succeeded in making the game more difficult for console users by leaving the sound effect out. Everyone playing sim mode is going to be unexpectedly spirraling to their deaths.
