My serial is a 16 digit code that doesn't do anything. This is really disappointing.
Just to be certain, the code is 19 characters, 16 alphanumeric and 3 "-",
you need to enter all of them.
And if you are copy-pasting, make sure you don't copy any extra spaces.

I've tried all that. It just doesn't work. Thankfully Atari got back to me and the offline activation code is being emailed to me. Hopefully that fixes things.

I am using the 19 digit code (16 #, 3 -) in the middle part of the activation screen, but the game will not activate. I am getting the same error that OmegaDestroyer listed.

Omega,

Could you provide a link/short instruction that started the resolution with Atari? I clicked and followed the Customer Service button on the Digital River activation screen, but have not heard from anyone yet. Maybe your way was different.

Zaza,

Sorry, I don't have any of that information.

The only thing that I can advice is to contact Atari. 1C can't help with activation problems of Atari version.

Default license data error on DVD install

Hello all,
I purchased the DVD game today. It was the only copy the store had. I installed the game without any error messages or problems.
When I try to run the game, (with the DVD inserted) I get a popup message, "could not write license data Please contact customer support for further instructions"

What does this mean? I am thinking it doesn't sound good. My system meets or exceeds all recommended requirements....

Any help is appreciated...

I rec'd a solution today via email.....thought I would share:

"Please follow the instructions below:

1) Open the command line by pressing "Start" and selecting the "Run..."
option.

2) Type "cmd" (without "s) and push the [Enter] button on the keyboard.

3) Please type in the following command:
rd /s "%APPDATA%\SecuROM"
and press [Enter] on the keyboard.

4) Answer Y to the Y/N question and press [Enter] to complete the process.

Now launch your game again, it should work now."

......the game does run perfectly! Thank you for a very beautiful, fun and engaging product.

Default Game won't start

I'm having a problem where the game doesn't start. It installed fine, I click the icon to start the game, I hear the DVD drive spinup, I see the disc icon on my mouse cursor. Then the process just drops. I am playing on a laptop with XP Pro. I checked the readme file and my video card does support Pixel Shader 2.0.

Other games work fine like EQ2, WoW, and Civ4.

Anyone have an idea to the problem?
