Question to the devs or technical features:
Is there a better forma'de instalção? Using the integrity check would be enough or will be advised to delete everything and download everything from scratch? tks |

I deleted everything, but thats only because I pressed the wrong button! I meant to verify cache...

If you do the integrity check, you will go back to the last official version (before all the recent betas). If you uninstall everything, download and reinstall, it will also get you to the latest official version. So, they do the same thing, but the integrity check takes less time. I prefer the integrity check ![]() My checklist: 1) Verify integrity of local files (to get back to last official version) 2) Go to your documents\1c softclub\IL-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover folder and go into the cache folder. Delete everything in there (the game will rebuild it based on the new version next time you run the sim). 3) Extract the beta patch in the game folder (c:\whatever_you_named_it\steam\steamapps\common\I L-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover) and let it overwrite anything it wants to overwrite 4) Run the sim one to force it to rebuild the cache. 5) Start a free flight quick mission to force it to add anything else it might need in the cache. 6) Exit the sim. 7) Restart the sim. Now you can test your frame rates with a clean install of the latest beta, as well as a correct cache folder for your version. If you skip steps 5,6,7 you might see that initially you get worse performance, because the game might still be adding files to the cache. However, the next time you start it, it will be better and you will get the true performance. |

Hello everybody.
Back on CoD for testing. I'm happy to see that the sim is still alive. Is it mandatory to have the mini fix installed to install this last patch ? Last edited by Avirex; 06-30-2012 at 05:55 AM. |

Blacksix I am making speed and climb tests and scripting out results including these:
part.ParameterTypes.I_EngineBoostPress and part.ParameterTypes.I_EngineManPress I get different values for these in any set of readings which makes it difficult to analyse the results. For example in the Hurricane Mk I 100 octane I can get I_EngineBoostPress of 8.1 while while I_EngineManPress reads 5.4 (same as cockpit gauge) at 3000rpm, also 8.8 and 6.3 at 2650 rpm. Can you please ask Luthier to explain these differences and which parameter we should be using when comparing with historical data? I also found that Boost Override Cutout does not change either of these readings so can Luthier explain that please? I'd like to get these tests finished and fed back to you before any patch updates so could I have an answer quickly?

Not only do the patches not fix much but now they posted a link to a patch that installed all kinds of browser hijacks and adware to my computer. Thanks Luthier! The incredibar is a real pain to get rid of and I can't delete it from my registry. So now not only did you make me pay $60 for a game in Alpha testing, but now you've also made it so that I have to reinstall Windows again. How do they intend on releasing a sequel to this game? Aren't they using the same graphical engine? How do they even test a game with the stutters as bad as they are? Are they using some secret Russian computer that is built for the sole purpose of running this game at a smooth 60fps?
