I guess You have to wait for subtitles. The "volt" guy is explaining why he is doing this, beside the movie is rather about extreme part of our community.
It is pointless to make documentary about "half an hour a day till 3rd death"
guys like most of Us.

I am Polish and can understand clearly what they are talking about. I just cant understand why the hell if they flying in the mission for someones else memorandum, they fight with no Honor and respect for opponent... I think it was brought by director to show community that there are squads like that. Disgrace...

So Be Aware

I laughed so hard at that! thanks Farber. First off, nice documentary except for the Pollacks saying "female prostitute" over and over again, unfortunately it means the same in my mothers language so it wasn't nice to hear. The somewhat stubby KGB wannabe Russian guy was pretty funny. The German dude with the "3000 man hour" 109 replica cockpit took the cake though, took the cake and ate the cake. I'm dumbfounded about that guy, worth watching it all again just to see that dude.

I liked the part where they talked to the guys wives and their side of putting up with 40-60 year old kids. You guys should show it to the wife like i did,This way she knows she is not the only one putting up with this kind of crap.

i refuse to grow up.when that happens its game over.

Let's do hope that someday in the future something along this line will be made
about Cliffs of Dover.

You don't have to speak Russian, German, Polish or for that matter English.
Everything is about one huge international mission.

Enjoy.

RE the chute shooting:

I've been to convention for AirWarrior, Aces high and IL-2 in England. We were always lucky enough to have lectures given to us by WWII veterans.

The universal response from the vets was astonished surprise that anyone remembered them at all or thought their deeds remarkable. All showed polite interest in the game, and some even became players.

In fact, the only sharp comment ever came from Chuck Yæger at an American AW con, but he always was a prickly sod.

I'll certainly never forget shooting down my squad CO of the time while Churchill's navigator, a fine and distinguished gent of ever 80 at the time yelling "strafe him! strafe him!" in my ear.

The vet's were very, very clear that it was just a game. There really is no need for pompous posturing on "honour" and the like.
