The TB3 ??

Your need for shiny metal US planes blinds you methinks.

The engine fires on the Greif were a result of too close cowlings, bad rootet leaking fuel tubes and the middle exhaust in which both engines blow their hot gases.

This was merely fixed ( 58 changes when IRC ) with the late A-3 version.

I can't hold it in, I just simply HAVE to fly a heavier bomber for Britain than the Blenhiem.. even the later version being added with chin turret and dual brownings in the back cant be hard?

Not sure we have the map for heavy bombers. I know Hampdens etc bombed Berlin during the BoB, but did they also attack targets in France?
In the future we will hopefully get more aircraft, but for now this release is based on the BoB period.
Could do for BoF as well with a few French planes thrown in.
If you want hundreds of planes, fly il2 '46, because I doubt we will ever see that number of planes in this new series.

Default I have the urge...

just a quick sidenote to the OP:
Thankfully, with nowaday's forum software, where you get that nice multi-line posting preview, you can no longer bait the users into your thread... it was zilli and now it's history! Yeah!

Now carry on, lads! That was my daily good deed against the evil interwebs!

And yes, the TB3 is the most awesome plane in all of Il-2! Majestically cruising around at about the speed of an elderly dove, sitting in the open and enjoying the totally free view is just p-ri-ce-les-s!
That easily compensates for bombing and defending yourself with it...! ^-^

P.S.: I can't quite remember, sorry... there actually was an implementation of the carrier plane/parasite fighter configuration, right? Did that work online, with seperate human pilots in the parasite planes? Oh, how I would love to see that implemented in CoD... after all the other things, of course!
