I stick with Spits but saw the ME109's in flight at Duxford, they were stunning and up close even more so. I would never argue which is the better because much depends on the pilot.

109 sexiest than the spit, in performance is up to the pilot
i always will pic a 109 when there's no 190 in the hangar

The 109 was the Spitfire of the Germans. Posing for photo ops, while the Focke Wulf, like the Hurricane/Typhoon for the brits, did the hard work.
From a German newsreel so there's really no way of knowing. Looking at that 9 minute guncam movie you're right though. I'm sure a 109 with one 30 mm could do the same thing.
