I'm getting mid 20s to mid 30s flying low-level over London and then dropping suddenly down as low as 3 fps hence the stuttering.

Okay, so its low fps stuttering not 20-30fps stuttering, I would say that its just low fps not a stutter problem like we had before.

I reckon if you over-clocked your cpu to 3.5-4GHz you would see a drastic improvement.

Default Great Patch - 1 problem grass is missing

A big thank you goes to the IL2 team

The patch is fantastic, the sim is running smoothly on my PC now at medium settings. I get 30 FPS over land and over the sea I get 60FPS

The only problems I have noticed is that grass does not appear when I select it in the options, and the building textures appear to take a long time to load in, so buildings are left untextured for a while after coming into view.

My GPU memory and GPU processor are both maxed out at 100%, and all 4 CPU cores were running at about 25%. I run the game at 1280 x 720 resolution, since my 1GB GT240 GPU is just not up to running it at full resolution.

I find that reducing texture to 'High' helps me to get better frame rates.

I noticed something strange, maybe someone else can try to confirm this.

In the free flight over France, I fly at around 400 m over the town. Whenever I have the industrial regions in sight, my FPS drastically drops, mostly around 11. It´s (for me easily) reproduceable. Position the plane in the mid of the town, so that in all directions the are many buildings. I pause the game and look into different directions, if there are houses only, I get around 53 fps, when I look into the industrial area, the fps drop to 11 fps. I never experienced that low fps, even over London.

I7 2600k @ 4,5 Ghz, GTX 570 btw. Win7 64 pro, 8 GB RAM

edit: Oh, since this is my first post here, hello all. Sim old hand here, been Il2 customer since demo-days.

A very, very big improvement. FPS has increased tremendously and much smoother. The game is now quite playable.

I am impressed!

Found some Bugs:

I have the Landing Gear Sound all the time also when flying and standing still on ground... doesnt stop somehow, but once i put my gear out and hit the ground with it but didnt land and just went on flying, i stopped. dont know if it helps you... its pretty annoying.

Problem:

In Multiplayer where you select your aircraft, you should also be able to customize the ammo belts and the bomb fuse delays..... Its pretty stupid that you cant do that. its the best feature in this game so far and you cant use it in Multiplayer >.<

I've gotten a huge boost in performance. Was running everything on the lowest settings before just for it to be playable. I'm now running everything on medium and have AA set to 8x and it's running better than before. Great job guys this Sim is looking awesome!
