Seems a little hasty but fingers crossed. I hope it's a good one and will keep us going for the next couple of years, until the Sequel arrives.

Salute

My Tests showed following problems remain:

Spitfire and Hurricane Engine misfiring bug remains.

Onset is same as RC versions, +6 1/4 boost at 9000 ft for Spitfire 100 octane, and +6 1/4 boost at 15,000 ft for Hurricane 100 octane. Not sure about the other variants yet.

Engine cutout on Merlins as a result of flying through clouds remains. Any sustained flight through a cloud will cause the Merlin to misfire and cutout, as much as 30 seconds depending on the length of time spent in the cloud. Not an historical effect, or at least not in summer conditions at lower altitudes where this occurred.

Spitfire 100 octane ceiling is maximum approx. 23,500 ft, attempts to climb higher will result in overheating, at that altitude, highest boost which can be used is -1. Historical ceiling was 33,000 ft.

Merlin engines more prone to overheat at high altitudes than low, same boost and rpm at low alt has the engine running cooler than identical at high alt. This is opposite of historical.

Had my wing taken off by gunfire and extensive damage, no sounds audible at all, this is a step back from previous RC version.

On a positive note:

In my test on ATAG server, it seemed to be running quite well with upwards of 75 players.

Players were reporting reflection effects were better.

Players reporting damage effects seemed to be back to earlier versions of the game, ie. pieces flying off, explosions more impressive, etc.

Perhaps it was fact it was quite dark, dawn scenario, but players reporting object destruction more spectacular, ships on fire, bombs going off, reflections in water etc.

Wow, this is looking pretty dang good. I did not do any of the beta patches so going straight from the last official patch to this one. Very nice improvement!
