Then go to C PROGRAM FILES X86 , Then Steam Then Steamapps, Then common . il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover Then redist Then go into DirectX Folder , Scroll down til you see When you see DXSETUP Double click on it , an run it!! For they guys that did this , THE CHEERING SECTION IS OUT, All of us had the same results. NO SLIDE SHOW NOT A STUTTER. Even with 3 spits an 7 or 8 109s at 1000 feet above the the 3 base close together north of the French point ( our normal slide show, Repeated 3 times , Stayed hard on 60 fps an high 75 my vsync on all setting high an original , For the first time since i bought this game , it was amazing!!! If this helps tell others ( for me an several others who did this ) All i can say is WOW !!! Note i did not say it fixed trees let me know?

BEWARE!!!!!

I decided to try the above out of interest (and stupidity) even though I wasn't experiencing stutters or poor frame-rates.

The result:- Halved fps, stutters, slow loading of textures ie a completely borked game.

If you're already running ok my advice is to leave well alone!

if it doesn't work just do a system restore from your back-up...

I tried it today and it realy works! All settings on max, grass, shadows, trees SSAO and FSAA ON! Realy smooth gameplay! Tell all your friends! It´s realy WOW![/QUOTE]

Stop giving people false hopes! I have tried your miracle guide, there is no betterment! Mind you I have a top spec system as well : 3930K @ 4.8GHz and 680 gtx!
Stutter, popping trees, flickering shadows various other anomalies etc.
They will have to fix it by reprogramming. Given what was delivered so far I am only cautiously optimistic about it!

He is not giving people false hopes, because for some it works (like me). He never mentioned it would fix various game bugs like the tree problem!
