Lederhosen are actually only popular with folkloregroups and during the "Oktoberfest". You don´t see them worn much in munich and even less in the "provinces".

Maybe the reason is, that munich is full of " Breisn" .
Go on a summer sunday , in the "Oberland" area and you will see alot of people with lederhosn , btw. we call it " Kuarze" .

I wear mine quiet often when the temps are fine, at least regular after work in "Augustiner" (for non local munichs: Augustiner ->primary local beer brewerie & beer garden)

Lol, are SPD voters a own german tribe ?

Well , in the village I am living it was said (about 10 years ago) , that even by daylight you have to click on the car lights when you drove through. "Schwarze Wähler" ( black voters = english : conservative voters)
Now many people have changed their minds.

yes, well, does Tölz count to the Oberland area or not . Not for nothing did we call the dialect spoken in munich "Isarbairisch". It´s just going down the drain .
i still have 3 bottles of augustiner here, it´s just too good to be drunk.
