Theres a reason for instrumenting a plane for test..
That being a pilots's 'perception' of what is going on can be very different from what is 'actually' going on.

Are they hiring additionally or replacing that is the crux.How long will it take to get a new programmer up to speed on something as complex as this?.
The saying also states "too many cooks spoil the broth" .
As long as they all work together.
An update from the team would be nice though.
