Default Computer specs in sig :)

I've just had a PM from a member here asking me to change my sig as he thinks my PC spec in my sig is fake and AMD Bulldozers hold the record for overclocking ... I just about spat my coffee all over my screen, he actually thinks its a serous sig and he wants me to change it is as I am deceiving folk here OMG

I don't take PC specs in sigs very seriously (Sorry Adam) but I am a pretty hard core PC enthusiast with flight simulation very definitely in focus, if I were to maintain a real PC spec in sig it would be ever evolving as I upgrade quite a bit.

What do you reckon? should I change the PC spec in my sig?

For the record my current PC specs are actually a new build of an I7 2600K @ 4.8 GHz, 8 GB ram, SSD's ETC and a 2 year old I7 920 @ 4GHz ... in the spirit of pictures saying a thousand words ... here is my current gear ... not the best I've seen but I'm happy with it.

Nah, the sig stays

Looking back I had to think back real hard to remember some of that old PC spec stuff, I actually started with an Amiga 500 with half a meg of ram that I upgraded to 1 MB and I was playing Flight Sim 2 on that, about that time Falcon came out and I saw some jaw dropping screen shots in a PC mag (no internet back then) and I bought a 33MHZ 2 MB ram PC just for it ... I ripped it to bits to see how it worked and the next year bought a state of the art 486 DX2 66 with a massive 2 MB of ram sum of parts that I built myself and a very early Thrustmaster HOTAS ... that was in about 1990 ... its been a constant PC upgrade cycle ever since ... its amazing how far this hobby has developed in such a short space of time.

These are good times we live in.

I'm glad you got the Spinal Tap reference though

That is some serious hunk of equipment!! Love it!

Ya just gotta shake your head when some poor dude takes a spoof, like your sig, seriously --- then calls you on it!!! I'm surprised you didn't lead him down the garden path any further. I admire your restraint. LOL
