If my memory serves me right (wich it actually increasingly seldom does) Oleg said sometime ages ago that 4.09 would not be released untill SOW:BOB had reached a certain stage of development.
I think it is fair to assume that SOW:BOB now has reached that certain stage. Whatever stage that is.
That should clear things up, I guess!!

Really Oleg is in the wrong business he should never have been in the sim making game at all!
The man should have been a top ranking spy for the russian secret service.
I mean if he would ever get caught he would under no amount of verbal torture let any usefull information out to anyone!

I am not dissing Oleg I have the greatest respect for the man that produced the best flight sim ever made until this day.
My semi-funny comments are just me venting my frustration for the lack of more information and the wait for BOB SOW to be finally in the stores.

And of course I am trying in vain to intice the man to post the mother of all updates here to prove us all wrong. But alas I have yet been unsuccesfull.

link to youtube movie from spanish su-26 pilots venting their frustration in a more fun way:

I thought Oleg said he wouldn't finish 4.09 until after SOW, because he was too busy. Anyway i'm going to forget about SOW, its quite clear its years away.

Tree, are you saying that you were wrong on the "march 2010" (or was it april?) estimate??? NOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Well, nevermind, I'm actually having really fun with 4.09. Seriously. I'll continue the nagging, whining and bitching about SOW-BOB on monday.

Actually I believe he said that he couldn't spend time on the patch til "SoW" was practically done...but sense "Team Daidalus" did much of the work, I'm not sure that the comment still applies.

You are probably better off forgetting about "SOW"...you really do seem to have a problem with waiting. I'll bet you drove your parents crazy; "when do we get their?", "You said I could eat at McDonalds!", "your a hypocrite...".

You should just sit back and enjoy the new patch....Its all just part of life.

I'm really starting that my last post a couple of pages back may be correct.
That the project really has been canceled for some time now and Oleg and a few of his more devoted team members are trying to finish the project as a indi sim and not let on, maybe out of embarrassment as he doesn't want to let the community/fans down. All of which could be for the lack of updates and so forth. Anyone in the know (cough cough Oleg or anyone working on the sim) please tell me I'm wrong and that September hasn't actually arrived in Russia yet. In any case why another broken promise?
