A niche of a niche in 2011, you can't expect your local store to have it, more likely it will show up in online retail shops
in your area, buy it from them.
What if upgrading your internet isn't an option? Not all of us live in areas where you have a list of internet providers. Where I live you have only ONE ISP to choose from. My download speed is about 2 megabits per second, .53 upload. It took me over 12 hours to download the original version of Rise of Flight when I beta-tested it. I will NOT buy a sim unless I can get a hard copy of it.

Us old farts around my area would call you a condescending piss-ant...

No luck on that one. The email bounced back as an invalid address. Will try the old fashioned phone call again.

No luck with UBI as yet but did get a quick reply from one top bloke from
Cheap Games Australia heres what he said.

Hi Andrew,
It is definitely disappointing. I will try to get some in but can't
promise anything at this stage.
Thanks for the information.

Spoke to Ubisoft again today. They stated that there will definitely be NO Collectors or Standard box sets offered for retail in Australia. DLC only! They were very nice though and offered to pass on my comments as feedback to whatever department handles this. They did sound surprised when I mentioned that their company had been receiving some fairly negative comments regarding this new style of product distribution. There is no other option than an overseas order. I always did like Finland!

Ok, I got another message from Joe at Cheap Games Australia.
It read-
I have been in contact with a few overseas suppliers and hopefully they
will get back to me soon with pricing/availability.
Thanks,
Joe

I thinks its one reason pirating is such a problem, most will pay what they think something is worth. Rip them off and pirating starts to look like a good way to get even.
PS. I don't condone pirating or ripping people off just because they can.
Its not just the high price that encourages pirating.

Titles which are "download only" seem to often generate a "... well if I can't get a DVD and have to download it anyway, then I may as well just wait for the cracked version " attitude.
