Default A new year in flight sim. Thanks Maddox.

I for one am tremendously greatful that luthier, B6 and the rest of the Maddox team have put their impressive talents to work in creating historically accurate simulations for those of us who are facinated by the sights and sounds of WWII air combat and not interested in the sea of junk that exists on TV or in other gaming franchises (football not included!!). Great work and thanks.

Happy New Year to all of you across the IL 2 net and looking forward to great things in 2012.

2. We assume that the most common reaction to the screenshots will be “why the heck do we need that, why didn’t you work on XYZ instead”. We almost decided to skip the screenshots altogether, but then decided that we’ll get the same reaction if we post nothing as well. So we decided to post these anyway – and we’ve got our asbestos suits on.
Luthier,
You can not please everyone. That would be impossible. That said, do what you do best, you are the professional. If one does not agree with what you post, tell them you are screwing this goat, let them worry about finding a home for the kids.

Such a positive post is great news. Thanks for the news B6 and Luthier and a Happy New Year to all. Should be a great sim year ahead - we'll need something very immersive to distract us from the world economy!

Cheers all

PPP

RIP Joppe

BlackSix, you read my mind. My 1st reaction was, nice plane, but who cares. Then I started grinning. The 1st time I strapped on a Sturm I felt like a flying bulldog. I didn't care if anything was nipping at my heals; I just wanted to clamp my jaw onto something in front of me and watch it disintegrate.

Thanks for all.
