If I could give a word of advice to developer team in order to meet the frustration and demand of restless customers: Please consider to provide smaller and more frequent patches and upgrades to the game. This would give us a concrete feeling that we are progressing instead of what whe have now, long stagnant periods of uncertainity and speculation and frustration waiting for next patch to come.

BlackSix I would appreciate if you would pass this message to Luthier. I thank you in advance.

The lack there of naturally makes one wonder if there really is work being done on a patch rather than MMO's and sequels (not counting removal of existing performance heavy features).

Future will tell I guess, meanwhile this thread is totally hilarious and extremely good entertainment.

...
I'm sure this will be the case in the future as they get to grips with various bugs, but we all know that this patch is primarily concerned with what is practically a rewrite of the graphics engine. That's going to be a big, major patch no matter how you slice it.

S!

Well, waiting for the update eagerly as FINALLY getting my TM Warthog back. Took some odd 1.5 months to get a new one replacing the broken one. So let the patch come

.
I shall buy BoM, Battle over Moscow if this is the tittle of the next game of the IL2 series. I did buy the entire collection and never been deceived even by CoD with many his bugs but still playable with big and powerful PC’s. I am certain that the team of programmers shall make the game work like they did make work the previous versions. IL2 was not build in one day!

Guys its time to take this OFF TOPIC discussion to a new thread. This thread is specifically for Friday update and you have all taken liberties with the dx9/Xp discussion and other off topic discussion, to the point where this update thread was unreadable.

Any further DX9 / XP discussion here please!!!! >>> http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=32712

Anything else irrelevant and off topic will be deleted without further notice!

Yes need for PMs. Or all off-topic posts disappear.
This thread is for asking questions on the update information. It's not about playing civil prosecutor and defence attorney for the dev team.

Phat politely asked you guys to create a new thread for this discussion or use the available forum features (like PMs) to discuss it among yourselves. He didn't say you can't discuss it, he just pointed out that it's better to discuss it in its own, dedicated venue. The guy asks something in a very acceptable, non-offending manner and you keep going at it, just blatantly ignoring him.

Maybe i'm being a bit blunt here, but i'll be honest with you all. I'm human like everyone else and some things annoy me. Out of all these things there's nothing that grinds my gears like good old fashioned, in-your-face, lack of conversation manners and a modicum of the least possible respect that should be mutually afforded when dealing with another person.

If you guys can claim human nature to excuse repeated off-topic posts and lack of self-control, i can do the same to excuse my itchy trigger finger that's hovering over the infraction button as we speak. We're all equal here and it's part of my (unpaid and volunteer) job to make sure that everybody understands it and acts accordingly. Incidentally, that is the only reason i'm wasting my time writing this diatribe instead of immediately clicking through the screens leading to a ban: i prefer that people know what is acceptable and what is not in this forum, so they can make their own decisions about getting banned or not.

Discuss whatever you want but please, for the love of God, take it to the appropriate section and thread, so that people can see the headline and decide if they are interested or not. People doing their best to vent in the threads with the most views, it's something that amounts to strapping everyone down into a chair and screaming "you WILL listen to me". It's too clockwork orange, don't you think?

If some people don't want to go through the topics you bring up, they should have that choice just like you have the choice of discussing them: one topic per thread, in the appropriate section. Might be broad or narrow, but it's one, for reasons of readability.

You know i can rearrange the offending posts whichever way and the fastest one is to simply bin them. Please save me some time, display some respect for your fellow forums users and do it yourselves, and they stand a good chance of remaining posted. You have all necessary means at your disposal and no excuse not to, so complaints to the tune of "my freedom of speech" won't fly if you keep this up and offending posts start disappearing. Our freedom of speech stops where the other guy's starts. Having each and every thread dominated by the same people arguing about the same topics is not respecting that boundary and then i have to be all mean and stuff.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

Well, if no-one else will, then I'll say it: message understood BlackDog- - and thanks for your candour (love the reference to Clockwork Orange - bang on!)
