Thanks a lot for this update which really did some great thing to the performance when I fly over water. I have an improvement of about 10 to 15 fps on average and max.

Over land the improvement is less important: only 5 fps I'd say. And now I have also won some extra microfreezes that I didn't have before. It is true that in between these microfreezes it runs considerably smoother and also on ground it seems. But I do have noticeable more of these microfreezes than before that are very short (too short to be measured by the fps counter but still very well recognizable).

My system:
Vista 64bit
i7 920
Nvidia GTX 275
6 GB RAM

I think that the path though is well chosen but we are not arrived yet.

NOTA: I never had those severe problems with performance but now the microfreezes are perturbing quite a bit.

I have all on low or medium except the plane model.

Thanks,

But, yes there is a but, but the micro freeze are back at low altitude over buildings and trees. fps correct, and many other bug corrected.

Thanks again for your fantastic job.

I don't know what the heck happened ... removed two x 460 sli'd/ put in my long waited for eVGA 580/ fired up COD, to my sirprise Steam downloaded the COD update and crikey - my frame rates doubled to tripled, most of the stutter was gone (though I had forgotten I set visibility from 3 - 2) the gluggy feeling with F10 engaged was gone and no FPS his with it enabled.

ftm, I've only been running the first two Quick Missions, over sea and over land (with grass off) and AA off and I noticed a lot more desktop resolutions available in menu.

cheers and thanks 1C
