A little bit smoother for me, but FPS increase only marginal. Over medium sized city up from 12-14 to perhaps 16-18. Maybe better after some flying over the same spot.
'Feels' smoother low over land, even with low fps. Perhaps even a little bit better if > 600-800 m. But also first time Launcher.Exe error for me So i must say my expectation was higher, but it is definitely better than before, not worse ... 2600K 8GB DDR3 6950 2GB Win7 64 |

That issue aside, I have noticed no difference in FPS. Did a quick flight at sea and flew inland over the smaller villages. FPS out at sea was relatively smooth as always, as soon as I moved inland the FPS dropped and the game gets that choppy feeling again just as it did before. It is disappointing but that said it is a beta patch so final release might be better. I also noticed that the sound bug where you hear the undercarriage as if its always rolling even if you are perfectly still on the ground is still present. |

The Beta shows up with much more Minifreezes also. I had steady stutters with one AC in Air. In normal Version no stutters and freezes. and as sayed: Less performance and longer Loading time...
Again System: i7 980 Extreme (HexCore) 12 GB Kingston DDR3 RAM, ASUS REVOLUTION MoBo and 2x GF GTX 295 Dual Cards (Quad System). Same effects with and without SLI....Solong Thomas |

Double improvement in the reported average fps but I seem to get less actual fps. While the stuttering is gone the game seems to be less smooth with lots of little pauses at busy times.

YEEEAAAAAHHHHHH!!! running great here, i have to test more, but more than 40 over sea or ground!!!and nooo stuters.Only in the first seconds due to load i guess.
AND THE MOST IMPORTANT!!!! joystick lag has gone!!! now i can feel the flight dinamics correctly and aim (still dificult but not for technical problems but for realism nature) i cant belive that noone has notice this. I have still problems with tree shadows flikering, and no Antialias running 1900 1280 all high except terrain at medium. 4x antialis, but not noticeable. 3,2 quadcore , gtx 470 oc edition, 4 gb ram, w7 ,27", g940( i need ffb!) anyway i have to test more, only 20 minutes flying, but im loving this game more and more. |

* fps in training mission (in the Camel(?)) was significantly better - from 30ish to 50ish.
* fps in spitI starting on ground - very little difference. Same in air. Maybe +3fps. Dunno if the cockpit itself is so fps-heavy that the gain because of terrain improvement will only be slight... * turning off mirror worked one time. The next time it gave me a simplified mirror...(?) * channel intercept: fps still bad. Unplayable! 15ish fps after awhile. * Very few trees = trees off. ie still no trees when there should be very few... So....first the improvement seemed good. But after testing a bit more I am a bit disappointed... Last edited by Buzzer; 04-07-2011 at 12:49 PM. |
