I work at a game store, and I've sold every copy that we've got in, which was...5 total. So I'm trying to do my part! But yes, I will buy a sequel. I will buy twenty sequels. I will buy twenty sequels and the DLC for all of them.

Sequels FTW! Particularly with the online sorted - while I love my single player, I'm also a keen online game (nearly 100 hours online on KZ2, SOCOM and bits and bobs on the CoDs, Civ:Rev, lots of other stuff), and am _really_ looking forward to online IL-2 gameplay without the lengthy lobby waits, quitting and a few new modes .

not a chance they're getting any more of my money!

They couldn't make the 1st one properly, they haven supported it, their DLC was a rip off, and their customer service is 0.

I can wait to see in what new and original way they manage to break a great legacy of flight sims.

And even if they DO make any money to make the sequel, I will be playing a demo, reading EVERY review I can find, and wit 6 months AT LEAST after purchase to see if they bring out any DLC or PATCHES, and be reading your guys reactions to it. Also it will come down in price so even if it is as poor as the first it doesn't cost me as much.

I'm not going to NEVER buy any of their games again, BUT they need to prove to me as a customer that they can be trusted.

Earn my trust 505 and 1C, THEN maybe me and HUNDREDS others like me, MAY think about purchasing anything you make.

I would love a sequal, if it's done properly and finished.

But I sure as hell won't buy it on day one, as I did BoP.

Exactly, don't get me wrong, if they do a good job of it OF COURSE I'll buy it I really WANT them to do a good job, like i REALLY wanted them to do a good job of IL-2 BoP, I waited over 8 months patiently watching their website for release dates. I can't begin to describe how gutted I was when it turned out to be aweful. Especially after the demo made it look amazing!

I hope they resurrect their name, because the PC IL series is THE BEST, and its a shame they are tarnishing their reputation due to laziness and poor business practice.

If they can make it more like the PC stuff (I KNOW certain things have to go due to size and lack of pressable buttons compared to a keyboard) (although couldnt you use the LB or LT as a SHIFT key to double the amount of usable buttons?) anyway, yes, if they could get the physics right and make gun turrets work like they should, and add cockpits, that'd be a start frankly.

Four million bucks on a game that probably barely cost a half million to make given that the game engine and base models were already in place...id say they made a profit and gave them a platform to build on for a sequel. If they fix all of the multiplayer problems and actually market the game I would say we are in for a nice golden age of console simming!
Once again.
Game has it's own engine and technology, made specially for this game. Did you ever seen such detailed flightsim before?
All aircraft or ladnscape models were made for this title. PC Il-2 have incomparable level of detail - all of them were done years ago for outdated technology.
Thats about your wrong suggestions about content and game.
Also half of million for game for both X360 and PS3 title is ridiculous suggestion. I do not know any title made with such budget for both platforms with any quality. Not with quality of BoP I mean but any.
Also you are wrong with your calculations. Part of money are taken by sellers, part by platform holders, and manufacture. And those parts in sum are more then a half.

One more thing about money. Publisher will start sequel only if they get, let's say 2 or 3 of production+marketing budgets back. Because this is their buisiness - not all games are profitable and they want to get not only these risks but profit.

And the last point - developers are not publishers. That means a lot of things but in terms of royalties developers are the last link of chain.

Let's talk about game, not about money, please. Your opinions about game are much more interesting for us and much more useful.

lmao !!

what worrys me is that all this talk of a sequel does this mean that your not going to focus on making expansions to the original game first ???

i mean i want to play this game for a long time and would like to see it devlope into the benchmark game i think it can be

anyway congrats on such a good job so far and keep up the good work
