Default Is fibber bad, or is it just me?

Well, i had cooper network for about 3 years, and it worked jsut alright, but then wit the pc boom, (suddenly everyone in the house decided to buy a laptop iphones ipads ps3s and all that stuff) we moved to fiber.

well, as an advertise it looks pretty good, we jumped from about 8mbps to 100 mbps, TV with 300 channels and what more. this is not my house tough im just the son.

the problem is, since this change its been a nightmare to play online. i get constant disconnecting unless im home alone, or im playing at 3 am when none else is at home. o tought this was a router problem and yesterday i eventually convinced the guys from tech support ( award of the year for stupidity) to give me a new one. despite this one fixed the other problem i had, not being able to portforward, i still get disconnected.

I share this problem with 2 other friends, who play BF3 with me and have similar services, 100mbp/s fiber but different router models and isp providers.

going back to cooper is not an option, i wish i knew what i had coming before...

so im interested in knowing, anyone else has fiber connections and shares similar problems? Or is it just only in portugal we have this kind of problem?
