A whole generation of pilots learned to treasure the Spitfire for its delightful response to aerobatic manoeuvres and its handiness as a dogfighter. Iit is odd that they had continued to esteem these qualities over those of other fighters in spite of the fact that they were of only secondary importance tactically.Thus it is doubly ironic that the Spitfire’s reputation would habitually be established by reference to archaic, non-tactical criteria.

Just watched the first half time and I am getting scared. Lack of strikers do not really appear to bother them. Best game by far until now!
Our teams will have to really up the ante to compete with that.

saw the first 10 min , and the last 20 or so. and both goals.

Torres is that typical il2 guy who is a great dogfighter, but he misses all his shots.... i simpatize with him
