And after BoM ............

What's the next theatre of operations going to be, something around the Mediterranean or developing Western Europe and adding more aircraft ?

I don't know what it's gonna be but here is what I would hope for. I'm pretty sure I'm alone on this one but I would like to see the Pacific Theater get an overhaul with updated eye candy. One of my favorite birds is the Corsair, would love to see that one with full cockpit and detail of the COD engine.

S!

North Africa and Mediterranean, the 2 least portraited theatres in any flight sim even they had a significant effect on outcome of the WW2.

Mediterranean was the most likely scenario, sharing most of the BoB planes. It would require just a handful of additional flyables (Mc.200, Cr.42, SM.79, 109 F for the blues, maybe a Tomahawk for the reds ...).

Cheers!

I would imagine the Med would come after BOM, then maybe the Pacific. I think they will only do maps the size of BOB or smaller for awhile. I don't think we will see a European Bomber Campaign Map for sometime. The size of that map would scare anyone from building and populating it for sometime. They would have to start that map now and hope to have it done five years from now. Maybe thats why they hired the extra people, .

Given the fast an abrupt change of theaters I guess we'll see a few more releases about the Eastern Front. I mean with Stalingrad, Kursk, Bagration and a myriad of other smaller operations there's much stuff possible and somehow I think 1C is going to be more "attentive" to its home market. Not that I mind the Eastern Front ... I just think the MTO as a whole will not come anytime soon and neither will be the ETO.

I'd go with this.

I think they might make the MTO/ETO community efforts (if there is a community willing to work on the game by that stage...)

The Mediterranean would be great as it was my choice when voting was done years ago for the IL2 series Med v Pacific, hence forth came Pacific Fighters from the voting & Luthiers project.

I hope we don't get stuck in the Eastern front for too long, if it goes that way, there's only so much Stalingrad Smolensk Porokhova Kursk etc etc I can take after 10+ years.

Med FTW (yay)
.
