Hi, my common speaking and writing is french. So maby my writing was not quite good.

I follow your instructions in your message you write the 02-06-2014 and it's perfect and clear for me. I can play Cliffs of Dover now.

Alternatively, you can right click the Launcher shortcut and click on properties, go to the compatibility tab and select " Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 8".

No need for the dll files, credit to ATAG Snapper for discovering this.
Works great for me on Windows 8.1.

Smile Fix Works for Me Windows 8

Thank you to everyone who fixed this. I just bought a new gaming PC and was rather frustrated to find it would not run COD.

Eventually I found this link and downloaded the exe and dll files. After installing in the correct directory I started the app.

Norton promptly deleted the exe. So I went into Norton and restored the file and told it not to screen in future.

Tried again and Norton deleted the dll. Did the same.

Third time lucky and I am in a Hurricane over the English Channel.
