* I have both installed but while waiting for the patch I only play IL2
* I have both installed but play none as CloD has made 1946 feel so old and the online CTD bug makes playing CloD impossible so I hang out here wasting time in this forum looking for the Grail patch...

I have both & play both...My future heart is with CloD, but slower than desired FPS ,small fire effects ( that also kill FPS) non working utilities in the game ( RT etc.,) & just plane bad FM AI prevents me from giving my heart away .Still I have 1100 hours on it ( in easy idiot mode) & like it alot. The eye candy is to die for!
I play Il-2 almost equally using Dark Blue World install, with all cockpits modded ( esp the 109's,110s & 190's to perfect) and find it terrific to play esp to get away from the English Channel map for a bit, to lands exotic & carrier ops etc. I find flying here with the new & improved verions of FM,AI, Maps ,effects to still be a terric experience & once one can't stop smiling!
That being said I look forward to a new patch & seeing if I need to drop more money on a more up to date graphics card, and of course to the Battle of Moscow add on as well.It took 10 years for Il-2 to get as good as it did & it really didn't explode until 3rd party modders got their hands on it about 2-3 years ago...Perhaps it will be the same here as well?
Potential - a blessing & a curse!

From the activity levels here and on M4T, as well as comparing online numbers for HL and Steam, 1946 is still far more popular by far.

Only playing iL2 1946,I have CLoD installed but waiting for the patch ,then it will depend on bugs getting fixed .
Lack of a decent Coop GUI might leave me out of play as the people I normaly fly with are not interested in the game until this gets fixed too.

I have yet to buy CloD, it's currently £38.80 to £39.95 on Amazon.co.uk, which is too much for its alleged current state.

So I'm 1946 only, but not with an "I bought CloD" attached to that.

It's less that £20 for the collectors edition from the ubishop.

I have '46 installed, not played it since CoD came out though.
