I was playing last night and couldn't find a game on sim or realistic for like 10 minutes, and then I tried a arcade and got it on the first try 12 out of 12 people showed up.
So I think a lot of people are either playing on arcade because it is new or they don't know how to unlock realistic and sim.

I was online last night, and couldn't find ANY game in ANY mode. I'm 1 for 5 on trying to play online now, that's pretty bad. The error it gives is going to make users not reading the forums here think that the servers are just down 24 x 7, and I imagine they'll give up on the game fairly quickly.

Single player is awesome, but the online play has got to be hands down the worst implementation I've seen on an Xbox game.

Well at least on xbox you have a away of reserving spots. PS3 is a no go for that.

I am 1 for 8 on finding multiplayer games. When will the servers get fixed? I have 3 days left to return the game and get my full money back I am giving them 2 days to fix the problem. Then I have to sell my game or I lose my full price money
I was totally excited about this game but if I can't play mulitiplayer what is the point? Ill just go back to SteelBattalion or buy Section 8
Why would they release the game if they were having problems with the servers .

Would you want a game that you couldn't access multiplayer ? I don't think I am being unreasonable.
This is frustrating, does anyone know what is wrong? I got this for the multiplayer. :evil :

I wonder if there's an issue with the search for games?
I had a room open for 16 last night from 9:30 EST to about 11:30 EST.
Ran a variety of games, mostly realistic, one or two sim. We had a couple of people that were able to get in a few consecutive games, but rarely more than 3-4 public players.

Sorry, trk, forgot you're on PS3.

I hate to be a stump but I don't get it.
Do I have to serve the games and invite people?
Isn't there a way to join in on someone else's game?
Is that the problem they are working on?

If your hosting games what setting do I need to have to get in on a game
I got an Xbox

That way you can see that people are actually playing the game instead of an empty search and you will have an idea on how long you will have to wait before you can join. edit:thats asuming that a continueous lobby can also be created with a patch.

Would this be possible ???
You suggestion isn't possible with the current way that LIVE works.

Adding JIP does not need much lobby code work, it's what needs to be done to the game engine and how it syncs up that is the tricky part. Since we're talking a limited number of planes and potential projectiles, bombs and ground targets active at any one time, it is certainly within the realms of possibility for them to add this functionality. The question is whether they planned things with JIP in mind, or if they have to retorque larges parts of the code base to get it to work. If the former, then it might be a title update. Otherwise, we'll be waiting for BoP 2.

I write lobby systems for a living and I'm a little disappointed in how limited it is in BoP. Here's what I'd like to see:

- Ability to change game options from within lobby (when host)
- This should include the Arcade/Realistic/Sim option
- Host able to kick players
- Ping time indicator on search results screen (even if they are slightly unreliable, they are better than nothing)
- If no games are found when doing a search, auto host a new game
- Allow custom match searches in Ranked
- Keep lobby active between matches/rounds

For starters

No, you don't get it. There is nothing broken, and nothing being fixed. The lack of servers is simply because no one is hosting any games. There are no dedicated servers. The MP is peer-to-peer, meaning the server is another player's XBOX.

If there are no servers available, start one yourself. Someone will surely join.

Really, all I want to do is play multiplayer with others.
How can I do that when all I keep getting is "servers are down try back later."
So are you telling me the servers are working?

Yes, I am stupid. Could some one please explain how does one get in to a lobby and look for others playing the game in Xbox.
Please excuse me if I sound rude I just want to play my game
