what do you mean by this. is it "LA5:BFM". i had joked about the IL2 name thing with a few peeps afore. and why not rename.. solves alot of issues.

Everything I post is my opinion unless I provide a source for it.

What could be a reason for a company founder to abandon his most loved child? Only a conflict with a publisher.

Why do you think luthier and other devs several times mentioned that they can not provide more details on the reasons for this poor start? Only if they have a none-disclosure agreement. With whom do you usually sign a non-displeasure agreement? With someone who pays you money i.e. the publisher.

Who makes decision on date of release? Who approves the budget? Who cuts / reduces budget because of the financial crisis, who cuts devs salaries forcing them to leave?

We have a saying "He who pays money orders the music".

this is what ive been thinking since day 1 Ataros. i appreciate your POV and that there is no source. Funny that the few like minded individualls around here all believe similar.

anyway this non disclosure is going to have to be respected by ourselves, us mere forum users.

If this sim gets taken out of the hands of ubisoft 100% im all for it "hurrah". i will await and see what we are ment to be getting. Sad that 1C have done this but the future could be bright around here. i expect full details on this proper project before im going to buy into it though Because as of now this stupid rubbish that is COD is sacked by me, uninstalling now.

1C we would all appreciate your forthcomingness in the matters.i hope at 1C you realise many wont buy XXXX from you in the future because of this debacle. Turn it around please.

Yes, I've wondered the same thing, Ataros, and this is one reason I've avoided the 'Oleg slanging' that has sometimes started up. As well as it just being unpleasant.

Vizerra could certainly fit the bill for involvement in an expansion. It would be a good way to end this dark chapter for IL-2 if so. All speculation though.

1C is also a publisher btw.......................

WHO forced anyone, if at all, we will never know i guess !

but that UBI is not saying anything about the US release, thats is for sure UBIs fault ! Community support from UBI seems zero. Might be not worth for UBI management to put any more effort in it.............

I always hoped 777 would in some way get involved with COD and its sequels.

Won't happen is my read (see Jason's comments here) but as you see he raises a faint possibility of their own WW2 sim. Would be a long way off I imagine and dependent on the success of RoF.

1C is the punisher only for Russia. I estimate it can be about 10-20% of sales maximum. Thus 1C has 1 vote where UBI has 4 or 9 votes on any decision.

BTW What was the only feature which Oleg mentioned 2 times in the official SoW:BoB presentation included in 1946 DVD? "Unprecedented attention to detail." This is what distinguishes Oleg and this is probably was the reason for conflict as details (including quality control) takes time and time costs publisher money.

ps. Just read

I think it will be released on the 19th as well...
What supports my belief?
The lack of marketing by UBI.

The only "patch" that will be released on the 19th?
Will be for the back of your knickers.

The consumer of today?
Ain't interested in buying a "new product"...held together,
with duct tape, bubble gum, baling wire and a promise.

I can hear "carguy" coming from two miles away....

that would be almost a $100 for the BoB plane set plus the core game....think of all the planes in 1946 and then get out you calculator...
I am not entirely sure PPP would be a good idea for CoD.

S!
