http://www.f-111.net/ They hve pretty good info and even cheap sells a CD with a lot of interesting tech stuffs. I hve to admit that this plane has always been fascinating to me exception made of the dump/burn air show trick Last edited by TomcatViP; 11-24-2011 at 06:22 PM. |

GRRRR... Give me a TSR2 any day....
Saddest day in British aviation history ![]() As good as the F-111 turned out to be I can't help but see it as the aircraft that doomed what was going to be a fantastic aircraft... no patriotism here BTW just sad to see politics destroy a great aircraft.

Yeah I can't either...
The TSR2 "was" you utter fool, it flew it was on the verge of full scale manufacturing, if it was an aircraft that never made it off the drawing board then yes I could understand that but it was almost complete and a better aircraft.

From what I could see and read on the plane anyway, maybe it's a good thing it never made it: it would have cost you a lot of money and would have soon become obsolete. Cool plane nonetheless, the one in Cosford is fantastic. |

Let's not get started on 'Aircraft that might have been'.
As a Canadian, the Avro Arrow story makes me rage. ![]()
