As much as I'd like to see us getting to the post-war stuff (early jets!! yuummm!). I think just thinking about it from a business standpoint, it makes much more sense to implement them in a chronological order. What I mean is, (and I'm going to use just WWII timeline for example, but it fits to post war stuff as well) if they put out '44 airplanes first, then when they go back to a '42 planeset, people will not want to fly them as much (unless you're particularly attracted to a certain plane) as the performance won't justify you bringing an underpowered plane to the fight. The sales would correspondingly drop, as people wouldn't see the need to downgrade their Mk. XXVII spitfires (with 100lb boosts! j/k here), P-51Ds, FW-190D-9s to the earlier planes.

Unfortunately, with that logic, the F-86s are a long way off

One wonders how anyone got into Rise of Flight after playing other sims.
