I agree, there needs to be a way to more easily unlock the multiplayer planes. I don't see this as a viable option either, because most of the ppl who will be most frustrated about this won't be able to get DLC anyway.
For me training is a big part of the game and if i didn't have XBL i would spend most of my time training enjoying all the combination of beautiful weather / location settings.
they need to make so that once you have completed the campaign you can fly ANY plane in training mode, but still have to unlock to take online.
