No german cockpit views is NOT ok!

Right, thanks. Virtual cockpit is the one that looks like I'm flying a closed circuit television camera across Europe right? So in sim mode I won't even know what German plane I'm flying as except from the menu screen. I think I'll stick to realistic mode, at least I can watch it in 3rd person view.

Confusingly, yes. I've always thought of virtual cockpit as the one where the cockpit is modelled in 3D, a 'virtual cockpit', if you will. However the Sturmovik devs refer to this as simply "cockpit".

They're supposedly fixing this by early October, otherwise the issue was addressed a month ago.

i prefer virtual cockpit as i dont have to look down at the dial all the tume in some planes

I wasnt here a month ago. The fact of the matter is that realeasing the game without german cockpits is releasing a game that isnt finished. Its still a kickass game even tho...its just very disapointing and it better not cost me anything to DL those patches. Also please bring back the replay mode. I loved watching replays in the old IL-2 series.

I would love to have the real cockpits for all the planes, but honestly speaking I finished most SP missions in virtual cockpit view. Especially finding ground targets is stupidly difficult when playing in sim mode.

He's quite correct, a search will bring up the reasons for the lack of cockpits, and the intention to add some of them at a future date - seems like an unfinished game to me.

The poster is entirely within his rights to be dissapointed about this aspect of the game.
