If I'm not mistaken, when the creatures of the cold appear you will notice the black effect takes hold again, this is a first as the graphics are part of the storyline, not just the atmosphere. Without spoiling the game you will notice as you face the dogs at the beginning its dark and when you turn away from them all the textures can be seen. This is conditioning you to what unfolds, there is a big and shocking difference in this game between blackness and darkness, notice how the flashlight does not provide any relief during the black sections. An epileptic should not play this game but its stunning.
