Look, I don't think anyone will argue with you that this game isn't a PC version of IL2. It is a whole heck of a lot better than anything else that has come out on the consoles in the past! I think it is a first and huge step for sims on consoles.

Plus once the full game comes out, I think that the MP dogfighting is going to be a blast!

Yes, I used thrustmaster. I was happy jumping up and down when I heard it was coming to console so I orderd and played with thrustmaster. I agree it is the best sim for console. I guess I've been spoiled by the PC version.

Well, I don't know what to say. I have played the PC version, I've had it for many years now. I have stopped PC gaming though as I don't have much time to stay ontop of PC hardware, updates, etc.

I wasn't expecting Bird's of Prey to be like the PC version at all. If this game was just like the PC version you'd probably see maybe 10 people online! It just wouldn't appeal to the console masses.

Think about this... If the console version of game were identical to the PC version, it would be way cheaper to buy a PS3/XBOX and play it that way. Little/No lag, can be played on your 56inch plasma, graphics would be the same for everyone (ie., I had to turn down quality on my computer to play PC version), would appeal to the older generation with proper advertising, would also appeal to the younger generation (in my opinion).

Sales would go up!

Seriously, in regards to the OP, I understand the frustration of going from PC gaming to console but you can't expect them to compare at all. At least not to the degree some people want. Your tone is obviously antagonistic and that more than likely is the real reason your thread was locked. e.g. "Long story short this game is a fail."

Yeah to the OP, look at all the 'hints' you get during loading. They mention an encyclopedia, a reminder about flaps after takeoff etc.
