I haven't seen a preview linked here, so here's one from IGN. It's from December 2008.
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/935/935009p1.html Seems pretty arcadey, with the ace kill feature, which you can apparently use to try to headshot enemy pilots (lol). The guy mentioned that there was quite a bit of aliasing, but then again they were apparently using composite cables for some reason. The screens look good but I can definitely see the jaggies he was talking about. |

Hmmm am i the only one who thinks that H.O.E will outsell B.O.P?
Not for a second do i think HOE is a better game - but i do think it will be marketed far better the BOP. If 1C have even a single brain between themselves they will make sure BOP is released FIRST. This game is pretty much garunteed to get great reviews - that will generate a lot of interest. But let me reiterate, it HAS to be the first to hit the shelves. (more to the point, there is no excuse for it not being first, it has been finished for a long time). |

While I do agree marketing is an important facet to attracting potential customers, I also feel the gaming community is highly connected to word-of-mouth marketing. In my mind, a number of strong reviews at launch (say BoP is rated 9 out of 10 and HoE is rated 7 out of 10 on numerous gaming sites) and a "buzz" within the community will propel this game more than a commercial, radio spot, or print piece ever could. Just my two cents. Last edited by irrelevant; 07-03-2009 at 01:04 PM. |

Has anyone seen any in-cockpit views from this game? I have the original "Heroes of the Pacific" on PS2 and that had a cockpit view, so I assume this does too. Although I'm beginning to wonder, seeing as I haven't seen any cockpit screens...
