Yes, let's buy it online.
With a reduced number of instalations by dowloaded copy or computer. With DRM systems like PE-2 addon. With the need of internet conection. With the need of a HIGH spped internet conection. In my country house i only have internet by mobile phone usb modem. It's slow like a 56kb modem. Do you think i am going to dowload BOB: SOW by this modem? I need one full week to download 1GB. Perhaps you are not in the 90's, but perhaps everyone it's not like you. Young people don't have yet bank accounts to pay by internet. I just request a old and reliable DVD copy of a game... |

Welcome yourself to the club of old-schoolers, who have no idea what STEAM is at all: If you buy a DVD-game, you will have DRMs like PE2, you have limited number of installations and possibly even need to activate the game online. If you order the DVD online, you also need a credit card. If you buy the game via STEAM, you can buy it via paypal. No credit-card needed. You can also install it as many times as you want, even on different PCs! Try that with a modern game released on DVD! And for downloading: Download it on an external drive in an internet-cafe. To be sure, activate it over your 54k Modem from your PC and there you go. Piece of cake. And as there are no limited activations, you can even use 1946 after you upgraded for SoW:BoB |

In Spain it can be physically bought in Aeroteca, at Barcelona. Or if you are from far away, they send you it.
www.aeroteca.com They also sell to the rest of the world. Expensive but secure. They love aviation, it's not a general store. and I say this without having any relation with their business. I'm simply a happy client. I bought Il-2 there, when it was still not available in the rest of Spain, and I left lots of money on aviation books and hardware (Pedals, Track IR, and so on) in that shop. My personal politics is to never buy a simulator that it's not physically on my hands. Yes, I'm from the old school. I still never bought anything by internet. I respect who buy through internet, but a simulator NEEDS physically presence in stores, or it will never be known. Ask anybody not related to this world for a Flight Sim. They can only name Flight Simulator from Microsoft, because they used to see it on stores and there's always stock. Both options, download and store, are good, for different reasons; one for maximum benefit for developer, the other for prestige. The matter is to selll, no matter how. I agree with what you are saying. I hate to have to order a single game that costs as much as the postage fee. You should try going into a local game shop and asking them to order it for you. They re-stock every few weeks, so they can probably add it to their list of things to order. It worked for me, in fact the guy was so nice he gave me a huge catalogue and told me he could order anything in it. Good luck
