I think the good IL2 movies show something different than the experience you have while flying the sim, they tell a story. This movie, while technically good, lack of a soul. You can tell the japanesse player were ia by a mile, the were absolutely noobs. There is not story nor tension. A corsair will never overmanouver a zero low and slow. That's not the real story. American aces use to use speed and power to their advance and tactical manouvers were their strong point. Anyone can take two f4u-a quick mission and another two zeros and record it with fraps. Sorry to be critical about it. I think you are good with the technical aspects, so why do not try to add some "soul" to your movie?

Thank You for your comment. Critisism is always welcome. How could I make better movies without havin' critisism once and a while. I actually was a little dissapointed myself because I couldn't actualy put any story in this. Maybe only one of my movie has a story, if we have same idea of the word 'story' (Youtube: Il-2 Sturmovik: Air of the Last Days).
Got to remember your words when making my next movie
Yours Faithfully!

Thumbs up I enjoyed watching it.

Your movie on youtube is very well done.
Smoothly made - no story, but who needs one - it's a pleasure to watch a bird fly - a story is not important if one uses their imagination while watching.

The music changing to the oldie when the credits show up is really cool. Very 1940s

Well done!
4 stars!

Technically very good, but I really had the impression to watch the history channel's "Dogfights"....

Thumbs up

Check out the sounds in this JAFA video.

I often feel when you have great videos, why not the aircraft sounds being predominant. Music has a place for sure, but the great sounds from the aircraft make for awesome.

Just my opinion of course.

I do like the above videos for sure.
