"Unfortunately the development process on Nuclear Union has been currently suspended due to some issues within the development team, but I do believe these problems will be solved soon and we’ll be able to announce the new release date as it surely will shift."

Can any Mod or Dev comment on this?

If we can tell by the lack of news and updates then it's probably true.

Survarium forum. Another post apocalyptic game in development from the Devs of the Stalker series.

Edit: Posted today, 02/27/2014.

1) Nucleair union may be cancelled, there is a chance the devs split up... They are a ukraine based company as well... And half of them supports the eu and the other half russia.

2) "No scheduled date yet. It’s hard to predict due to the inner-team issues and to the overall situation that’s taking place in the [Ukraine]" 1c company.

Darn real life / politics getting in the way of game development.

Nuclear Union can be still a pretty interesting title if 1C will do some small adjusments of course.

1) Revive the developing of Nuclear Union
2) Invite someone who has rich experience and skills with GEM engine already, someone like DMS
3) Temporarily hire/lend someone whos got skills with similar engines to GEM, someone from http://www.4a-games.com or http://graviteam.com/about-company.html
4) Give it some time
5) Profit

(Of course GEM engine is not that similar to 4A engine)
