It seems that this is a bug and nothing can be done to stop it from what I've gathered. This is disappointing since I just bought this game. Have been playing flaming cliffs 2 for a while now and wanted to try some prop planes and I can't even get the chance to enjoy them!

Just want to say that plugging the joystick into another usb port and letting it reinstall the drivers has fixed the problem. I will leave this here so if anyone ever needs a definitive answer they can see it.

I would have put this down to the prop torque effect though, aircraft will always bank counter to prop rotation.

If you are new I recommend you get involved with a squadron online because you'll skill up waaay faster - this is a tough genre to get into because of complexity and experience of other players.
