I've purchased and downloaded 'Adolf Galland, The Expert' a couple of hours ago.
Initial impressions are very good. I've only played the first mission of the 303 squadron Polish campaign. This first mission is almost like a campaign in its self as there seems to be so much going on. So, a huge amount of gameplay in this add-on. There's also some new features such as frequent radar updates, random events during missions and the ability to call up reinforcements if things are looking grim (subject to availability of course!). Dogfights are pretty hectic and I'd say that Desastersoft have tweaked the AI parameters so that they perform better than in the stock CloD. Performance is good even with many aircraft aloft and I rarely saw less than 40 fps with 50-60 being the norm. I really think this opens up a whole new feel of immersion to CloD, something that has been sorely missing for us single players. Nice one Desastersoft, I look forward to 'Channel Battles' also. Note:- The cost in GB pounds was around £21. The download is around 800mb. Cheers, Choccy. |
