My guess is that they are working flat out on the BOM and have a hampster in a little cage working on CLOD.
They need an income and the only way to get it is to have another product that will hopefully get great reviews and sell well thus saving the company.

I agree. This is precisely what is happening. They made a mistake and are now trying to repair that mistake.
They have to get money to make the game so they make a new add on to get it and fix the old problems along with it. I think it's going to be just fine. Even for the CloD. You act here like the game is the shittiest peace of grab ever and that is not true. Planes are flyable and I'm flying almost every day on ATAG server. True everything is not perfect but so what? Give an example of a better WW2 flight simulator than this.

Looking at the comments on this forum makes it feel like the game would be not even playable witch is just not true, so stop whining because it's not exactly what you wanted.

The problem is not COD, the problem is the game engine. Changing the name of the sim, map, and aircraft isn't going to make anything better. They are not going to build a new game engine, as that would take years. If they were building a new game engine they certainly wouldn't be allocating resources to patch the existing game engine. They must fix the existing game engine. No one is going to buy a Sequel or MMO unless the game engine is fixed. A fixed game engine means a fixed COD, and a Sequel/MMO that they will be able to sell. This latest patch is critical, if they can't stabilize and fix the performance for average computers there will be no point in fixing all the other issues. This is probably one of the reasons they delayed the announcement until they're sure the performance issues are fixed, and they can move forward.

I don't normally engage in these threads, but I think you are spot on. Also, if BoM is released with the tools for making user-made content that we saw in development shots, then fixing things like the BoB map may simply be outsourced to the community, whom I think will do that splendidly.

I am actually very excited about BoM, and I am fairly sure the dev team do not have the option to deliver a bad product if they want to keep their company afloat.
