I don't know exactly, but your system is okay so far. i do not see a big performance increase, when switching cpu, or is your current cpu fully loaded, when playing clod?
I would suggest another step first: Buy an SSD to increase your system performance. They are currently not that expensive, especially when looking on its lifetime. My suggestion in SSD with avery good all day performance is the Samsung SSD 830 model. I never heard any of my friends regreting this buy!
But if your cpu is really bottlenecking, someine please post some suggestions as it is also my interest to upgrade from my i7 920, because I would like to have more raw power. My cpu closes @ 4 ghz and getting a little unstable. Another question: What is currently on the way to the markets. Should we both wait a little?
